His Name is Helper

His Name is Helper
The Holy Spirit is so awesome. He is a part of the Holy Trinity – The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. He is a gift to us. As believers, we have many different ideas about the truth of God. This is not a good thing, since we should all be on one accord. The Holy Spirit will help us to worship in spirit and in truth.

Even though there are so many different denominations, Christians should be using the Holy Bible as a guide. There are some believers that don’t believe that the Holy Spirit even exists. If we are all reading the same bible, we should be able to see the true facts from the bible since it is the Word of God.

Our perceptions are vastly different. We can profess to know someone, but one event can make you question the relationship. This is not so with the Holy Spirit, although if you ask one hundred people who he is, you may get one hundred different answers.

This is because we generally relate to our own life experiences. If we know that he guides us every day, then he will be a guide to us. Likewise, if we know him to be a helper, then we will refer to Him in that way. According to Romans 8:26, he helps us. The King James Version tells us likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. The Good News Bible makes it a little easier to digest. It tells us that in the same way the Spirit also comes to help us, weak as we are. For we do not know how we ought to pray, the Spirit himself pleads with God for us in groans that words cannot express.

Out of all the many things that the Holy Spirit does, the job of helper is something that all Christians should relate to. He helps us in our weakness. He goes to the Father and makes intercession for us. Prayer from the Holy Spirit keep us covered because He know what to pray for, whereas we don’t always know what to pray for unless he leads us in the way. If you have ever prayed on someone else’s behalf, then you were acting as their intercessor.

The Holy Spirit pleads for us. This shows how much He loves us. We would never plead for someone if we didn’t care about them or their needs. He lives and dwells in us, going to the Father making groanings that cannot be intercepted or redirected. Communication to the Father is totally for our benefit because He knows our needs.

Be Blessed
